As communities along the East Coast prepare for Hurricane Matthew, the International Code Council is also preparing to assist its Chapters and Members. Today, the Code Council is organizing a conference call to brief ICC Chapter leaders and disaster-response coordinators from all East Coast states on ICC’s Disaster Response Network, ICC resources and additional support available to affected jurisdictions. When activated, the ICC Disaster Response Network mobilizes volunteers to help jurisdictions perform building damage assessments, building inspections and other code-related functions in disaster areas.
