Education Provider Partner Program

Overview

The ICC Education Provider Program is a program that gives industry related training professionals the ability to provide .1 approved ICC CEU credits to their course participants for each clock hour of instruction that is completed. This program has been specifically designed to serve the needs of ICC certified professionals and the general public by providing reputable education opportunities, through a variety of sources that support and uphold the Code Councils high standard for training. ICC’s detail specific process for granting education provider status and its ongoing review of Provider activities ensures quality EP programming, which results in a well-trained, competent, and effective work force.

The key criteria used by ICC in approving Education Providers include:

  • Training must be offered in one of the following formats: Traditional classroom, webinar, live or pre-recorded video, time specific online formats, or a blended format including any or all of these forms of training.
  • Training materials must be developed using performance-based objectives and meet the quality standards of systematic instructional design and delivery.
  • Instructors must be highly qualified and considered specialists in their respective field.
  • Instructors must offer unique training expertise and possess a high level of industry related experience.
  • All ICC Education Providers must maintain a record of courses taught, participants who attended the training, the location of the training, and clock hour of instruction.
  • Each course participant must be provided with a “CEU Certificate” that includes the course title, instructor’s name, and clock hours of instruction provided.

Achieving ICC Education Provider Partner status allows collaboration of training delivery with ICC, offering both online marketing and ICC CEU benefits. ICC Education Providers have a verifiable, system-wide, top-down commitment to quality education that provides training participants with a quality learning experience.

Value of Achieving ICC Education Provider Status

Each ICC Education Provider has had their program evaluated for compliance to the ICC Quality Standard and is approved for continuing education units toward the maintenance of ICC Certifications. ICC Providers enhance and broaden the opportunities for code professionals to increase their knowledge, skills and abilities. All approved providers will be listed on ICC’s Education Provider website along with all course titles approved for participation in the program and a link to the provider’s education webpage. ICC EP logo will be provided for the co-branding of course materials.

Fees

The annual fee for approved program participants is $500 plus $50 for each course title. There is no charge for the application and review process.
