Every International Code Council Member contributes to building a safer world through their individual commitment to public safety. The International Code Council always focuses on its Members, but 2011-2012 is a special time as ICC celebrates the Year of the Member.
The Year of the Member recognizes the fact that ICC Members are industry leaders dedicated to building safe and sustainable communities.
Almost 40 years ago, our Members included smoke detectors in building codes, just one example of how the profession saves lives every day. More recently, the I-Code family expanded to include two news codes—the International Green Construction Code and the International Swimming Pool and Spa Code—that add to the legacy of safe and sustainable construction. In addition to special activities during the Year of the Member, the Code Council provides opportunities every day for Members to shape their ICC, their industry, their career and their future.
