Chapter of the Year Award

The Chapter of the Year Award recognizes a Chapter that demonstrates exemplary performance in promoting the goals and mission of the International Code Council. The winning Chapter will be distinguished by its professionalism and participation in ICC. The award also acknowledges public support for building and fire codes, building safety, and the fields of construction and code administration. Click here for details. Code Council Seeks Nominations for 2013 Awards

Nominate an individual or group whose contributions to building safety, code compliance, fire prevention, sustainability, public service or community service are exemplary. Award recipients will be honored and recognized publicly for their accomplishments during the 2013 ICC Annual Conference in Atlantic City, N.J. Deadline is July 1.

Code of Honor Scholarships Application Period Now Open

The scholarships help to ensure the I-Codes reflect the consensus view of officials at all levels of government by providing funding to Governmental Member Voting Representatives to seeking to participate in the Public Comment Hearings, Oct. 2–10, in Atlantic City, N.J. Deadline for submission is July 12.

Honorary Member - Call for Nominations

The ICC Board of Directors is requesting nominations for 2013 Honorary Members. An Honorary Member is a person who has rendered outstanding service to the ICC. The Honorary Member Committee will consider submitted nominations when compiling its list of candidates.

The Board of Directors will present its list of potential Honorary Members for approval by Governmental Member Voting Representatives in attendance at the Annual Business Meeting.

Each nomination should include the nominee’s name, contact information, and a brief explanation of why the nominee should be considered for honorary membership. The name and contact information of the person or organization submitting the nomination should also be included.

Nominations will be accepted through close of business Monday, July 1, 2013.

ICC Chapter Relations Introduces a New Format for Our Chapter Officer Orientation Information

In order to ensure that all Chapter officers, new and existing, have the most up-to-date information in the most convenient format, all Officer Orientation materials can now be found online. In the past, presidents of new Chapters received a large binder with orientation information. Unfortunately, these paper copies quickly became out-of-date or the binders were lost as one Chapter President succeeded another.

With this new online format, all Chapter officers (not just the president) can easily access the latest news and information. Just click here and you'll see all the links you need to complete your Annual Report, set up a Chapter Education Benefit Day, contact your Chapter's Staff Liaison, and much more.
