July 29, 2010 | ICC Foundation Code of Honor Application Deadline is tomorrow. The Code of Honor Scholarship for Group B Final Action Hearings is now open for applications. Applicants must be a Governmental Member Voting Representative, in accordance with Article II Section 2.1.1.1 of the ICC bylaws.
July 28, 2010 | Code Council Urges Feds to Include Green Construction Code to Design, Build New Government Buildings. Citing the gap between existing construction codes and green rating systems has been filled, the International Code Council encouraged the U.S. government to reference the IGCC for the design and construction of new federal buildings. July 23, 2010 | Coalition Formed to Combat Wildfire Threat Where U.S. Urban Neighborhoods Meet Wildland Areas. The National Wildland Urban Interface Council (NWUIC) will address challenges associated with the growing threat from wildfires in urban neighborhoods that border wildland areas. The alliance was developed by the International Code Council and the National Association of Resource Conservation and Development Councils.

July 12, 2010 | Confirm Your ICC Membership Information to Vote at Code Hearings, ABM. The Code Council’s Annual Conference and Group B Final Action Hearings (Administrative, IECC, IPMC, IRC – Energy, and IZC) are scheduled to begin Oct. 25 in Charlotte, N.C. In accordance with Council Policy 28, new and updated membership information must be received no less than 10 days prior to the first day of the meeting in order for members to exercise their voting privileges, both for the Annual Business Meeting and the Final Action Hearings. The membership deadline for this meeting is close of business on Oct. 15.
