1. General Requirements
Verify that all piping systems are protected as required from corrosion, stress and strain, freezing, and physical damage, to include building components. Inspect all piping systems for proper installation, support, sleeving, penetrations (fire, structural, etc) and waterproofing of exterior openings. Verify that all required tests of installed piping systems are conducted.

2. Fixtures
Verify proper installation of fixtures including waste receptors, appliances and appurtenances. Inspect for maximum and minimum flow rates and temperature control valves. Inspect for proper installation of faucets, fixtures and fittings.

3. Water Heaters
Verify proper use and installation of materials including proper clearances, locations, protection, and seismic restraint. Inspect for required valves, T&P valve and discharge piping installation, thermal expansion requirements. Inspect for proper size of fuel gas piping, combustion air requirements and required venting.

4. Water Supply and Distribution
Verify proper piping material, joints and connections. Inspect the service and distribution piping for proper installation of cold and hot water delivery including minimum and maximum pressure and volume requirements, identification, sizing, valves, insulation. Inspect the potable water supply and distribution piping for proper protection against contamination. Inspect installation of water treatment systems.

5. Sanitary Drainage
Verify proper material, sizing and installation of the building drain, building sewer, branches and stacks. Inspect for the proper installation of backwater valves, sumps, ejectors and required cleanouts. Inspect indirect waste systems for air breaks, air gaps, interceptors, condensate drains, pumps and tanks.

6. Vents
Verify proper sizing and venting requirements, methods and installation.

7. Traps, Interceptors, Separators, Special Piping and Storage Systems
Verify proper use, installation and connection of traps, interceptors and separators. Inspect chemical treatment, high-temperature and neutralization systems.

8. Storm Drainage
Verify that roof drains, conductors and leaders comply with code provisions for proper use of materials, sizing and installation. Inspect sub-soil and building sub-drains, sumps and pumping systems.

9. Health Care Plumbing
Verify proper installation of fixtures including accessibility, waste receptors, appliances and appurtenances including clearances, access and sealing. Inspect the service and distribution piping for proper installation of cold and hot water delivery, identification, sizing, valves, insulation and safety requirements. Inspect the potable water supply and distribution piping for proper protection against contamination.
