Hazard Abatement for Existing Building Code Drafting Committee
(HAEB)
HAEB Committee Activity. During the 06/07 code change cycle the HAEB Committee was successful in getting two code changes approved that placed unsafe condition requirements within the International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) (see Sections 108.1.5, 202, 304.1.1, 305.1.1 and 306.1 of the IPMC 2007 Supplement).
Currently, the HAEB Committee has submitted
additional code change proposals for the 07/08 cycle proposing multiple
unsafe conditions requirements for inclusion within the text
of the existing International Codes, predominately the International
Property Maintenance Code and the International Fire
Code.
