2009/2010 International Code, Interpretation and
Code Correlation Committees
The International Code Council is currently accepting applications for the following Codes & Standards Committees:
2009/2010 International Code Committees. International Code Committees are an instrumental part of the ICC Code Development Process. There are currently 15 Code Committees, responsible for the review and evaluation of code change proposals submitted to the 13 International Codes. The Code Committees for the 2009/2010 Code Development Cycle will hear the code change proposals at the 2009 Code Development Hearing during the period of October 24-November 11, 2009.
At this time, ICC is receiving applications for new members. International Code Committee members are considered for appointment by the applicable International Building, Fire, and Plumbing/Mechanical/Gas Code Councils with final approval resting with the ICC Board of Directors. 2007/2008 Code Committee members whose term expires June 30, 2009, must reapply to be considered for re-appointment. Administrative Provisions for all I-Codes except the IRC
(multi-discipline committee)
*IADMIN. New for the 2009/2010 cycle, the ICC Board established a single, separate multi-discipline code committee to consider all code changes submitted to the administrative provisions of all the I-Codes with the exception of the IRC.
Travel required. Members of ICC Code Committees are authorized to travel at ICC’s expense when participating at the Code Development Hearings.
Term: 18 months, July 1, 2009 – December 31, 2010.

2009/2010 Code Interpretation Committees. The purpose of the ICC Interpretation Committees is to provide technical support for adopting jurisdictions by processing official interpretations for the International Codes. Committee Interpretations represent the official position of the International Code Council but in all cases, the final authority on matters of interpretation is the code official. There are currently 5 ICC Interpretation Committees.
At this time, ICC is receiving applications for new members. Committee travel not anticipated. The Interpretation committees conduct business via conference calls and email correspondence.

2009/2010 Code Correlation Committee. The ICC Code Correlation Committee (CCC) is responsible for evaluating matters of consistency, coordination and format in the International Codes. This includes determining matters of maintenance responsibility of the Code Committees and identification of technical and editorial revisions necessary in the International Codes.

CCC Code Correlation Committee
Travel required. The Code Correlation Committee (CCC) typically holds 1-2 meetings per year. Members of the CCC are authorized to travel at ICC’s expense when participating at CCC meetings.
