The International Code Council invites you to submit papers on safe sanitation for the 2008 World Toilet Summit & Expo (WTSE) that will be held at the Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel in Macau from November 4-6, 2008.
Put your expertise to good use
The Code Council invites manufacturers, academia, standards developers, tradesman, contractors, engineers, inspectors, associations and others interested in the advancement of safe sanitation to submit papers for consideration. The education track, “Sanitation in an Urban Environment,” relates to Global Sanitation Policies & Standards. The deadline for submission is May 30, 2008.
The WTSE track will feature high-level discussions relevant to key industry players within various sectors of the plumbing industry. Topics for discussion geared towards achieving safe sanitation worldwide will be:
Establish general standards for toilet construction in the private and public sectors
Share best practices used to expand awareness of the importance of proper sanitation
Capacity building where sanitation is of concern
Methods by which different organizations can work together to train staff, and building and maintaining proper facilities
Explore the various sanitation technologies and solutions currently available in the marketplace
Determine how best to implement these solutions globally
Provide insights to new technologies and their practical application
Speakers will be rewarded in knowing they are helping to further the efforts of improving sanitation worldwide. Add that to the networking and potential business opportunities make participation in this event invaluable.
To submit papers, follow the guidelines and procedures below, then email or fax documents to the Code Council’s PMG group (remember, papers must be received by May 5 to be considered):

All papers and support documents must be in English
Paper Layout
Arial 12 point
Single space for text, double space between paragraphs
All tables, figures and illustrations must be electronically formatted
and embedded in the body of the document.
Length of Paper
Abstract must be between 500 and 1,000 words

It is the responsibility of the paper presenters to obtain all necessary
copyrights for submission.

Note that paper presenters must be registered as delegates for the Summit. Only registered presenters will have their papers included in the Conference Proceedings, provided they are received by Sept 5, 2008
