ANSI A117: Official Interpretations
ANSI Accredited Standards Committee A117 issues Official Interpretations
on the technical requirement found in A117.1 - 1992 Standard on Accessible
and Useable Buildings and Facilities through a consensus process. Requests
for Official Interpretations must be submitted in writing, and in accordance
with the A117 Committee Policy on Official Interpretations. An Official
Interpretation may take several months to finalize. A request for an Official
Interpretation under this procedure represents the official position of
the A117 Committee.
