ICC Consensus Committee on Bleacher Safety (IS-BLE)
Call for Committee
ICC Standard on Bleachers, Folding and Telescopic Seating,
and Grandstands (ICC 300-02) first published in 2002 will
undergo a committee and public review process to determine
whether the standard will be re-affirmed, revised, or withdrawn.
The purpose of the IS-BLE standard is to establish the minimum
requirements to safeguard the public health, safety and general
welfare through structural strength, means of egress facilities,
stability, and safety to life and property relative to the
construction, alteration, repair, operation, and maintenance
of new and existing temporary and permanent bench bleachers,
folding and telescopic seating, and grandstands. Click
