Chapters offered presentation on Building
Department Accreditation
If you have read your mail lately or picked up a copy of
ICC's Building Safety Journal, then you may know about
the new Building Department Accreditation Program from International
Accreditation Service (IAS). Now, IAS is offering ICC chapters
an informational presentation to answer questions being asked
by building departments across the country.
"The phones in IAS have been ringing off the wall with
building departments requesting information about the Building
Department Accreditation Program. We are shipping information
packets out as fast as possible and referring people to our
Web site (www.iasonline.org)
for more information. But, we know that the building departments
prefer having someone discuss the program with them in person,
and that is why we are offering the presentation," said
Chuck Ramani, IAS President.
The presentation covers everything from the accreditation
requirements and process for getting accredited to the cost
