Government Relations
Labor & Management
The Government Relations Labor and Management activities
were established to further promote public health, safety
and welfare in the built environment by serving as an international
community forum for labor and management to interface with
the ICC.
The focus of the GR L&M activities is with groups that
represent varied areas of the construction sector. Interested
organizations and individuals include contractors, contractors
associations, vocational schools, trade apprentice programs,
governmental agencies, individual construction professionals,
military construction groups, universities, trade unions,
community college programs and others involved in employment
and education related to the construction process.
ICC recognizes the need to further enhance current relationships
and dialog with labor and management individuals and groups
due to the increasing complexities of today's built environment.
The increase in alternative materials, performance-based design
and natural and man-made events requires a contractor and
workforce knowledgeable in codes and standards.
ICC will continue to develop educational programs, products
and other services related to Labor and Management activities.
