Codes & Standards Discussion Forum

Welcome to the ICC Codes & Standards Discussion Forum

The Code Council has revisited how best to provide an online, professional Discussion Forum and area within the website that has a sense of community – where Members and nonmembers can provide input and exchange ideas with their peers in the industry. The new Codes & Standards Discussion Forum does just that, as it allows Registered Website Users and ICC Members to discuss the I-Codes in an online community.

Yes, thank you, the issue is, the existing condition did not allow an entry point for water/ moisture per se (though the exterior stucco w/out WS was "captured" by the flatwork and flagstone)but breaking the paper envelope & installing a new WS (Weep Screed)system that would in essence, allow the stucco to weep but provide a point of entry for water, as the distance from bottom of plate/ WS bead to top of exterior slab/ flatwork is less than 1", is not allowable by standard of code. So I''m hoping to rather install the "J" casing bead w/out weep holes, but am lacking a ICBO or ICC number to reference for approval. I found this online, their Example 3 seems like it would work , but again don''t have the required ICBO #. Please advise if you have any suggestions. Thanks very much. dwb

Yes, thank you, you are the only one that has responded to me, could you please help. I went to your website and "lo and behold" (a Biblical term written by God, which in our parlance today is simmilar to ..."NO Way"!)You are from the same area of the US where I found the only possible help for my problem, and you, it would appear have a problem with local ineptitude also. Amazing! I couldn''t give a hoot or a hollar for people who are "stupid on purpose" and might be educated beyond their intelligence, but please if you could help, all I need is a number for the ICBO call-out for the detail that is in question (T-4, Termination at Slab/Sidewalk). Thanks Again. dwb
