The Code Council has revisited how best to provide an online, professional Discussion Forum and area within the website that has a sense of community – where Members and nonmembers can provide input and exchange ideas with their peers in the industry. The new Codes & Standards Discussion Forum does just that, as it allows Registered Website Users and ICC Members to discuss the I-Codes in an online community.
Note to Nonmembers: If you join the ICC you can have access to important building safety information!
As an ICC Member, you have access to the Members Area of the Codes & Standards Discussion Forum. Follow the link to discuss the Membership Councils and other benefits of being an ICC Member.

I am studying for the commercial plans examiner test. Being that I'm currently unemployed and a family man, I dont have a lot of money to throw around. Does anyone know of free resources (websites / webinars) to help prepare for the exam? I'm confident with the major sections of the code (allowable areas, fire ratings, occupancy, means of egress, etc) . What I would really like is a practice exam / sample questions. I expect that it will be quickly evident whether or not i should purchase study material / classes.
thank you for your time.

just to respond to my own post.....
I was able to find that google books had a 2006 study guide for the ICC B2 Commercial Building Inspector exam online. The book contains 500 questions and 5 practice exams but only a quarter of the book (about 200 questions) can be viewed online. It was enough to convince me that it was a recourse worth having so I've ordered it (the newer version). I'm able to answer every question but i think it's taking me to long so I need a lot of practice to be able to find things effeciently.

I got huge set of study material from your information. There must be lots more books available. But still a few features are not yet discussed. Searching for those topics.
