Bailey elected Board President; Zubia, Shapiro named officers
The newly elected officers of the ICC
Board of Directors are President Wally Bailey (center),
Vice President Steve Shapiro (right) and Secretary/Treasurer
Adolf Zubia.
Wally Bailey, Director of Development and Construction for
the City of Fort Smith, Arkansas, was elected President of
the ICC Board of Directors during ICC's Annual Business Meeting.
Bailey previously served as Vice President and has been a
member of the ICC Board since 2000.
Steven I. Shapiro, Director of Codes Compliance for the City of Hampton, Virginia, was elected Vice President of the ICC Board. A Certified Building Official, Shapiro was first elected to the ICC Board in 2000.
Adolf Zubia, Fire Chief for the City of Las Cruces, New Mexico, was elected
Secretary/Treasurer of the Board. A 20-year veteran of the fire service, Zubia
was first elected to the ICC Board in 2003.
Greg Johnson, Tim Ryan and Ron Piester were re-elected to three-year terms as Directors on the Board. Johnson is a Building Inspector for the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota; Ryan is Codes Administrator for the City of Overland Park, Kansas; and Piester is Director of the New York Department of State, Division of Code Enforcement and Administration.
Barbara Koffron was elected to a one-year term as a Director
on the Board. Koffron, a Fire Marshal for the City of Phoenix,
Arizona, was appointed to the Board in March to fill a vacant
Director seat.
Gregori Anderson was newly elected to a three-year term as
a Director on the Board. Anderson is Director of Building
Safety, Regulatory Services, Chatham County, Georgia.
Doug Murdock was newly elected to a one-year term as a Board Director.
Murdock is the Director of the Building Inspection Department
for the City of Gainesville, Florida.
