Code Council Board President Steve Shapiro and Board member Terry Cobb attended the Code Administrators Association of Kentucky (CAAK) Annual Business Meeting on October 14-17 at the Holiday Inn University Plaza in Bowling Green. Also in attendance was John Payne who recently retired from the Code Council as the Governmental Relations Regional Manager for Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia.

The Northern Kentucky Building Inspectors Association (NKBIA) presented John Payne with a small token of appreciation for his support to the chapter throughout the years at its 2007 Annual Meeting and Breakfast on November 15. Payne recently retired from the Code Council as the Government Relations Regional Manager for Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia.
Code Council Installs Officers at MVBOC Annual Banquet
The Miami Valley Building Officials Council (MVBOC) held its 50th Annual Banquet on December 6 at the Yankee Trace Golf Course in Centerville, Ohio. Representing the Code Council was Robert Weitzel, Regional Fire Service Representative. In recognition of MVBOC's 50 years, Weitzel presented the chapter with a special anniversary plaque to congratulate the chapter on behalf of the Council. Weitzel installed new officers who included President Jene Gaver; Vice President Scott Adams; Secretary Dan Sammon; Treasurer Mike Siehl; and Directors David McGlothen, Dan Fitzpatrick, Bryan Parker, Larry Parsons and Robert Bowman.
Also in attendance was John Payne, recently retired from the Council's Government Relations Division. The chapter honored Payne for his many years of service to the chapter by presenting him with a plaque. Other special guests included William McErlane, President of the Ohio Building Officials Association, and Steven Regoli from the State of Ohio Board of Building Standards.
