ICC Upper Great Plains Region III Holds Educational Institute
In 2006, the Association of Minnesota Building Officials
(AMBO) initiated a new educational institute for code officials,
designers and contractors from across the region to gather
for training and networking opportunities. In 2007, the ICC
Upper Great Plains Region III Board voted to endorse this
institute. The ICC Upper Great Plains Region III Educational
Institute was held February 5-9 at the Northland Inn in Brooklyn
Park, Minnesota. Code Council staff in attendance included
President Wally Bailey, Board member Greg Johnson, Senior
Vice President of Government Relations Sara Yerkes, Director
of State and Local Government Relations Dorothy Harris, Vice
President of Chapter Relations Laura Scott and Government
Relations Regional Manager Rita Swearingen. The week-long
event included a full schedule of meetings for state and region
chapters, a luncheon and banquet, the bookstore, a trade show,
as well as a full course track of training.
