William Hudson and Director for the Suburban Building
Officials Conference recently obtained International
Code Council Master Code Professional (MCP) certification,
the highest level of professional certification available
from the Code Council. Hudson has worked as a code official
since 1998 and began seeking MCP designation in 2004.

IPOC Hits the Ice on Fire Sprinkler Issues
Members of the Illinois Protective
Officials Conference (IPOC) confer with members
of the Bloomington Prairie Thunder hockey team before
they meet the Rockford Ice Hogs. IPOC hosted a day-long
event on February 7, which included a general membership
meeting, lunch at the hockey rink, training on fire
sprinkler issues, dinner and the hockey game. Pictured,
