The first annual ICC Upper Great Plains Region III Presidents Summit
was held on February 8 in conjunction with the week-long Education Institute.
International Code Council President Wally Bailey spoke to the group about important,
upcoming Council events. Pat Parsley, President of Region III, presented a chapter
summary and reported on code development activities in Minnesota. James Price,
Region III Board Member, gave a brief report on the Public Relations Committee
for the chapter. Chris Rose, Region III Board Member and President of the North
Dakota Building Officials Association, reported for the Education Committee
who is developing requirements for others to use the Region III name as an endorsement.
They are also working on an application for receiving the Brent Snyder Award,
which will be given for the first time at the 2008 Educational Institute.

REGION V
The ICC Midwest Region V held a meeting at the Ohio
Building Officials Association 17th Annual Conference
on February 5 in Sandusky, Ohio. Chapter members from all
across the region were in attendance. The next meeting for
this region will be held May 20 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the
Code Council's 2007 Codes Forum in Rochester, New York. For

REGION VI
The ICC Northeast Regional Coalition will meet May

REGION VII

International Code Council meeting March 22-23 in
Hagerstown, Maryland. Shapiro (left) swears in new Region

REGION IX
Gulf Coast Region IX will hold a meeting on June 5 during the Building Officials
Association of Florida Annual Conference at the Caribe Royale in Orlando.
The region meeting will be held in the evening after the classes are finished.
