The ICC Upper Great Plains Region III Board of Directors
has voted to accept a recommendation from their education
committee to endorse the Association of Minnesota Building
Officials' (AMBO) Educational Institute. This endorsement
will allow AMBO to call the annual event the "Upper Great
Plains Region III Educational Institute." This opportunity
will provide exposure to the membership of Region III, and
allow them to have an effective place from which to launch
their efforts in developing regional services.

Shapiro and ICC Regional Manager Roland Hall attended
the Region VII of the International Code Council
chapter meeting on May 19 at the Four Points Sheraton
in Hagerstown, Maryland. Picture above, Shapiro (left)

this newest region chapter to ICC.
The North Carolina Building Inspectors Association
(NCBIA) will be hosting an ICC Region VIII meeting at the
North Carolina Council of Code Officials (COCO) eighth
Quadrennial Educational Research meeting at the Crown Plaza
in Asheville, North Carolina, on August 6-9. All Region VIII
members are invited to attend the meeting on Sunday and are
welcome to register to attend the full conference, which includes
the annual banquet. ICC President Henry Green and ICC Board
Member Terry Cobb will be in attendance. For more information
