The following organizations were granted chapter status by
ICC's Board of Directors on May 11, bringing the total of
ICC chapters to 306.
The Idaho High Desert Chapter was formed 10 years
ago under the name of Southern Idaho Network of Building
Inspectors. After the reorganization of the Idaho Association
of Building Officials (IDABO), the group changed its
name and adopted bylaws. Recognized by IDABO as District
4, the Idaho High Desert Chapter covers the counties of
Blaine, Butte, Camas, Cassia, Custer, Gooding, Jerome,
Lemhi, Lincoln, Minidoka and Twin Falls.
The New Jersey Association of Technical Assistants
(NJATA) was granted state chapter status, giving ICC a
total of seven permit technician chapters. They are an
umbrella group for several smaller units across the state.
The members of NJATA are eager to develop and advance
their professional abilities in the administration of
the I-Codes.
New York State Building Officials Conference; Central
Chapter is the fifth group within the state chapter
of New York State Building Officials Conference
to be granted ICC chapter status. The Central Chapter
covers Oswego, Oneida, Madison, Onondaga Cayuga and Cortland
counties in the central New York region.
Texas Panhandle Inspectors Association, a group
of 26 members, was granted local chapter status. Though
small in number, this group covers a large area in the
Texas Panhandle that includes 34 counties. The group resolves
to foster coordination and communication among their communities
to further enhance their common goal of public safety.
