Berks County Building and Code Association is
a newly-established organization comprised of code officials,
third-party agencies, design professionals, contractors
and trade associations. Serving eight counties in southeastern
Pennsylvania, this professional chapter wants to provide
continuing education and promote networking for its members.
Building Inspection Technology Alumni Association
was approved for student chapter status and is sponsored
by the Southwest Washington Chapter. Members include students,
alumni and faculty from Portland Community College in
Portland, Oregon. The group's primary purpose is to promote
a lifelong relationship of mutual benefits and assistance
through the Building Inspection Technology profession.
Building Inspectors Association of Nassau County
(BIANCO) was formed in 1953 and is affiliated with the
New York State Building Officials Conference. Their purpose
expands beyond the boundaries of Nassau County through
education programs, joint seminars, scholarships and code
development. BIANCO looks forward to greater opportunities
to participate on a state and national level via its ICC
local chapter status.
ICC Heartland Region IV Coalition serves ICC chapters
located in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Illinois. To
help develop the chapter, President J. Michael Davis (Missouri)
will devote some time in the next year to attending state
chapter meetings throughout the region so he can learn
each group's concerns and wishes. Read more about this
chapter in the Regions
Update section.
ICC Northeast Regional Coalition is the seventh
group of ICC chapters to be granted regional chapter status.
This group will serve ICC's Region VI in Connecticut,
Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island
and Vermont. The officers and directors are committed
to public safety in the built environment, and have established
a communication network to facilitate timely delivery
of information in their region. Read more about this chapter

Building Officials Conference to obtain local ICC chapter

Pennsylvania Association of Building Code Officials,
Inc., was established in January 2005. This professional
chapter currently has over 700 members that represent
all segments of code administration and enforcement throughout
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania Building Officials Conference Region
5 has over 100 building and fire inspector members
from Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster,
Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, Union and York
counties. They are the third subdivision of the Pennsylvania
Building Officials Conference to obtain local ICC chapter
status.
Wyoming Association of Fire Marshals was formed
approximately two years ago and currently has about 18
members. This statewide chapter realizes that a strong
fire marshal's group contributes markedly to a safer Wyoming
through group discussion and advocacy on issues pertinent
to fire marshals. They look forward to more training opportunities,
a collective voice and allied missions with other nationally
recognized organizations.
