Create a Voice for Building Safety |

“The Code Council remains committed to making sure you have the products‚ tools and resources to do your jobs and do them well‚” said Code Council CEO Rick Weiland during the 2008 Codes Forum. “We need your help at the local level to make sure that people are trained appropriately to ensure that the codes are being enforced.” |
Studies show that every dollar invested to build stronger and safer results in savings of $4 to $7 in reduced damages when a disaster occurs. If approved by Congress‚ the Community Building Code Administration Grant Act would provide $100 million over five years to help local governments hire‚ train and equip code officials‚ including building inspectors‚ to save lives and protect property. It would aid communities that see their resources stretched. If you’re inclined to do so‚ and your jurisdiction will allow you, we ask you to be a part of this grassroots effort to enhance building safety. Sign the petition. |
