The International Code Council is developing a Certified Inspector of Green Building Technologies exam to demonstrate a code official’s ability to understand the application of green building technology and assess adherence with green building programs. CBCAG Resolution Adopted by NACo
The National Association of Counties (NACo) signed a resolution supporting enactment and funding of the Community Building Code Administration Grant (CBCAG) Act to promote and support the enhancement of local building and fire code enforcement. View the resolution.

Pulling No Punches on Safety Report Highlights Efforts for Safer Buildings
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) submitted the annual report of major building failure investigations in the United States to Congress. The report highlights the first comprehensive set of building code changes based on the NIST World Trade Center investigation approved by the Code Council in 2007‚ which were incorporated into last year’s supplement to the Council’s International Building Code.
