CALBO-ICC certification coming soon
Code
officials who want to get certified specifically on the California Codes
should be able to earn their professional certification by early 2006.
ICC and the California Building Officials (CALBO) are working to develop
the joint certification exams that will cover the California Building,
Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical Codes. With the new CALBO-ICC Certification,
candidates will be tested on the California Code of Regulations, Title
24, which references the Uniform Codes and the National Electrical Code
with California amendments. (Amendments make up approximately 5–10 percent
of the California Building Code.)
Keep an eye out for updates in upcoming editions of ICC eNews,
as well as on the ICC and CALBO Web sites. Questions can be e-mailed to
Beverly Konoian or submitted
by calling 1-888-ICCSAFE (422-7233), ext. 3217.

a raffle ticket to benefit the AIA-ICC Bob Fowler Memorial Scholarship
Fund. One lucky winner will receive a 2005 Harley-Davidson Dyna Low Rider.
The drawing will be held Sept. 28 at the Annual Banquet during the 2005
