The Code Council was one of the fire prevention industry’s top companies showcasing the latest in products, services and technology at the Fire Department Instructor’s Conference (FDIC) 2008 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Fire chiefs and instructors, administrative and line chiefs, training and company officers, career and volunteer Firefighters, EMTs and paramedics, apparatus/equipment and rescue specialists, community emergency response team members, fire academy students, and many others stopped by the Council’s booth to learn more about products and services.

Building, Residential Codes Taught in Jamaica
Attendees of the Building Code Training Programme 2008 in Kingston, Jamaica, enjoy a class break outside during an International Residential/Small Building Code training seminar. Bob Schutz, Senior Staff Engineer, Code Council, and Guy Tomberlin, Code Specialist, Fairfax County Virginia, Department of Public Works and Environmental Services, taught the first of three week-long educational seminars for the Jamaica Institution of Engineers scheduled for 2008. Instructors from the Code Council and local engineers will conduct the sessions.
