Studying for a code certification exam?
New resource puts study references at your fingertips
Code professionals preparing to take a certification exam
now have a new online resource guide created by the International
Code Council. The guide makes it easier to find reference
materials.
"International Code Council Certification is a significant
accomplishment for code professionals," said International
Code Council Vice President of Certification and Licensing
David Nelson. "Whether it's for employment, state licensing
or personal achievement, successful completion of specified
examinations is necessary to obtain certification. Candidates
can use this new resource to find the reference materials
they need to study for and take the exams."
Required reference materials include codes and standards
related to the specific area of expertise covered by each
exam. Now, the International Code Council has made it easy
to purchase these required materials, as well as other helpful
study tools, all in one convenient online
location.
The International Code Council offers certifications for
most code administration and construction inspection professions
including the "Master Code Professional," the
highest level certification a code professional can obtain.
International Code Council Certification is fully recognized
by most code officials and state agencies that regulate
inspection personnel.

The International Code Council, a membership association
dedicated to building safety and fire prevention, develops
the codes used to construct residential and commercial buildings,
including homes and schools. Most U.S. cities, counties
and states that adopt codes choose the International Codes
developed by the International Code Council.
