Registrations taken up to the first day of the Institute. Walk-ins are accepted.
Registration includes instructional materials, breakfast and lunch. One registration fee—no option to register on a daily basis.

learn the critical skills needed to become an exceptional code official. The institute will enhance communication, personnel, and financial management skills and assist in remaining current on issues concerning the legal and ethical aspects of the code administration. Additionally, the institute will provide the opportunity to learn up-to-date information required for the Legal and Management Modules of the ICC Certified Building Official examination.
Continuing Education
Attend this ICC institute and earn ICC CEUs, AIA Learning
Units (LUs) and Health Safety and Welfare credit (HSW)*.
While this ICC Symposium does not specifically prepare individuals
for an ICC certification examination, it does serve as an
excellent opportunity to earn CEUs towards renewing any ICC
Certification or preparation for career advancement.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellation requests must be received in writing in order to receive a refund. Refunds are subject to a processing fee. There will be NO REFUNDS for cancellations received one calendar week prior to the scheduled training event.
International Code Council reserves the right to cancel any training event having insufficient registrations. If that occurs, all prepaid fees will be refunded in full. International Code Council cannot be responsible for any losses resulting from the cancellation of a training event.

Instructors
Linda S. Pieczynski, Attorney
Linda S. Pieczynski is an Attorney engaged in the general practice of law, with a special emphasis on municipal prosecution in the areas of zoning and building code violations. Previously, she worked for the state´s attorney in DuPage County, Illinois, where her responsibilities included conducting seminars for law enforcement agencies. She currently represents numerous municipalities as their village prosecutor. She is a graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, and a member of the Illinois Bar Association, DuPage County Bar Association and DuPage Association of Women Lawyers. She has written several books and has published articles on various legal topics. Additionally, she rewrote the Legal Aspects of Code Administration textbook published by BOCA, ICBO, and SBCCI.
Ron Lynn
Ron is the Building Official of Clark County Department of Development Services, Building Division. Ron has published over 30 papers and articles on topics ranging from materials to quality control and conducted editorial review of the 1995 Portland Cement Association Inspector’s Manual. He is an experienced instructor and seminar speaker on a variety of topics at a local community college and for ICC.
Ron is currently on the ICC Board of Directors and has served as a local officer for the American Concrete Institute, American Society of Nondestructive Testing, American Welding Society, Geology Society of America, National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials, and the Southern Nevada chapter of ICC. He is also the current chairman of the Nevada Earthquake Safety Council and of the Nevada Organization of Building Officials.
Terrell Stripling
Terrell Stripling is a seasoned instructor with 20 years of fire service experience and has also worked in the construction industry. He holds a B.S. degree from Oklahoma State University in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology. His experience in fire prevention, code management, and the ability to effectively communicate a pro-active philosophy, is reflected in Terrell’s passion for education. At the college level, he has served in the positions of Department Chair and adjunct professor in the Fire Science Department. He is a seasoned instructor that utilizes the theory of the codes along with hands-on, practical application to achieve ICC’s vision of “Protecting the health, safety, and welfare of people by creating better buildings and safer communities.”
