order to receive a refund. Refunds are subject to a processing
fee. There will be NO REFUNDS for cancellations received one
calendar week prior to the scheduled symposium.
If you must cancel, International Code Council must be notified 14 or more calendar days prior to the scheduled seminar date in order for you to receive a full refund. Cancellations made fewer than 14 days prior to seminar date are subject to a $25 cancellation fee. International Code Council reserves the right to cancel any seminar having insufficient registrations. If that occurs, all prepaid fees will be refunded in full. International Code Council cannot be responsible for any losses resulting from the cancellation of a seminar.

2006 IRC Performing Residential Plan Reviews
Provides a procedure for reviewing residential building
plans and specifications based on Chapters 1 through 10
of the 2006 IRC. Allows participant to practice a building
plan review during the seminar using actual construction
documents and a plan review record.

Terrell Stripling Terrell is a seasoned instructor with 20 years of fire service experience and has also worked in the construction industry. He holds a B.S. degree from Oklahoma State University in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology. His experience in fire prevention, code management, and the ability to effectively communicate a pro-active philosophy, is reflected in Terrell’s passion for education. At the college level, he has served in the positions of Department Chair and adjunct professor in the Fire Science Department. He is a seasoned instructor that utilizes the theory of the codes along with hands-on, practical application to achieve ICC’s vision of “Protecting the health, safety, and welfare of people by creating better buildings and safer communities.”
Gary L. Nelson, P.E. Gary
is currently a Senior Staff Engineer for ICC in the Architectural & Engineering Services´ Plan Review Department located in the Chicago District Office. As a senior staff engineer, he is responsible for conducting building plan reviews of proposed construction, writing and dispensing verbal code interpretations, assisting in the production of training products, and teaching seminars. He has worked for ICC and the former BOCA organization for almost 20 years. Mr. Nelson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Illinois and Alabama. Prior to joining BOCA, he was a design engineer for over 10 years with Chicago Bridge and Iron Company where he was assigned to various engineering departments responsible for the design and construction of steel fabricated structures to industry-related codes and standards. Gary teaches building code and residential code seminars for ICC.
