The ICC Education Provider Partner Program is a very select
and limited initiative. The program identifies code training
providers that augment and enhance the ICC curriculum. Key
criteria used by ICC in selecting Education Providers include:
The training topics are not currently offered by ICC.
The instructors are considered specialists in a highly-specialized
or narrow field.
The instructors offer unique training expertise that
ICC cannot currently meet, desired by a specific code enforcement
audience that ICC cannot currently meet.
The training materials are developed using performance-based
objectives and meets the quality standards of systematic
instructional design and delivery.
ICC selects training providers based on the needs of the
ICC.
Achieving ICC Education Provider Partner status allows collaboration
of training delivery with ICC, offering extensive marketing
and CEU benefits. ICC Education Providers have a verifiable,
system-wide, top-down commitment to quality education that
provides training participants with a quality learning experience.
Value of Achieving ICC Education Provider
Status
Each ICC Education Provider has had their program evaluated
for compliance to the ICC Quality Standard and is approved
for continuing education units toward the maintenance of ICC
Certification. ICC Providers enhance and broaden the opportunities
for code professionals to increase their knowledge, skills
and abilities.
The ICC Education Provider program consists of four provider
categories, each with different privileges and requirements.
Education Provider Categories
Scholastic Provider
These are groups who "resell" ICC training.
This category consists of academic institutions, government
agencies and non-profit agencies who offer single or multiple
events during a 12-month period.
Education Provider
Those who deliver their own training, consisting of industry
experts, published authors and professional trainers who
offer high-level, technical education programs and/or
seminars that are recognized as of the highest quality.
ICC Chapter
This category is for ICC chapters who have high-level,
technical education programs and/or seminars on specific
topics and single or multiple annual events.
