Overview of the Chicago Energy
Conservation Code Seminars
Plan to attend one of the seminars in Chicago, IL that focus
on how to demonstrate compliance with the residential and
commercial provisions of the Chicago Energy Conservation Code
(CECC). Completion of the Overview of the Chicago Energy Conservation
Code Seminar (and provision of a copy of your Illinois license
- architect or engineer - provided to ICC) will qualify you
for Chicago Registered Energy Professional status until such
time other training or certification is required by the executive
director of the City of Chicago Department of Construction
and Permits.
This series of seminars is for everyone; you do not have
to be a resident of the city of Chicago. Each seminar is six
contact hours and offers 0.6 CEUs. Registration starts at
8:30 a.m.; instruction begins at 9:00 a.m. and the seminar
concludes at 4:00 p.m.

Code Books
To obtain a copy of the Energy Conservation Code,
Chapter 18-13 (amended January 16, 2003) go to the:
- Chicago Office of the City Clerk and purchase a copy available
at cost for less than $20 (cost of photocopies). The office
of the City Clerk is located in Chicago City Hall at 121
N. LaSalle St., Room 107 and is open Monday through Friday
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
