    Moinian named Senior Vice President, ICC-ES Growth Strategies and Certification Programs

    ICC-ES is pleased to announce the promotion of Shahin Moinian, P.E., to ICC-ES Senior Vice President, ICC-ES Growth Strategies and Certification Programs. As the leader of the ICC-ES PMG team, Shahin optimized the certification process and reduced certification time for clients. More importantly, Shahin took a variety of steps to enhance the customer service for product manufacturers who aim at introducing products to market in an expeditious manner. This all took place while maintaining the high quality of product evaluation, which is what ICC-ES is famous for. (more)

    IAS Offers Accreditation to Green Standards

    International Accreditation Service (IAS) accredits organizations whose services may be used by businesses and regulators engaged in providing the United States with energy-efficient, sustainable infrastructure. (more)

ICC-ES

ICC’s Evaluation Services is the United States’ leader in evaluating building products for compliance with code. A nonprofit, public-benefit corporation, ICC-ES does technical evaluations of building products, components, methods, and materials. The evaluation process culminates with the issuance of reports on code compliance, which are made available free of charge to code officials, contractors, specifiers, architects, engineers, and anyone else with an interest in the building industry and construction. ICC-ES evaluation reports provide evidence that products and systems meet code requirements. (more)

   

IAS

IAS accredits testing and calibration laboratories, inspection agencies, building departments, fabricator inspection programs and IBC special inspection agencies. IAS is a nonprofit public benefit corporation that has been a recognized accreditation body since 1975. Today, IAS is one of the leading accreditation bodies in the United States and a signatory to several international mutual recognition arrangements (MRAs) worldwide. (more)

   

ICC Foundation

Around the world, thousands of lives are lost and billions of dollars in damage occur in places where people and property are not protected by safe building codes and standards. The International Code Council Foundation (ICCF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating the devastating effects of natural disasters and other building tragedies through consumer education initiatives to increase the demand and understanding of building codes, standards and mitigation options, professional development programs to support code officials and community service projects that result in safer, more sustainable buildings and homes.
