Here’s What’s Coming In 2012
2012 will bring about a number of changes in the National Certification program. Here’s a list of changes you’ll need if you plan on taking an ICC certification exam after January 1.
ICC Certification Continues Going Green
Instead of keeping up with multiple cards, Code Council certification holders will now receive a single, laminated, butterfly-style wallet card that will contain all of their ICC certifications. Check out eNews for more details.
CALGreen Certifications Here
CALGreen Inspector and CALGreen Plans Examiner exams, based on the 2010 California Green Building Standards Code, launched January 1, 2011. See the Legacy & State bulletin for additional information.
California Codes Examination Information
The California Certification Program meets the intent of Assembly Bill No. 717, which requires certification and training of construction inspectors, plans examiners, and building officials. It was designed for those jurisdictions requiring knowledge and application of the California Codes, and is deemed substantially equivalent to the corresponding Code Council certifications. Successful candidates can apply for the equivalent Code Council certifications. See the Information Bulletin for information on how to transition to the Code Council certifications and how to transition from Code Council certifications to California-specific certifications.
Request Paper Certificate
You can now submit wall certificate requests for recently passed certification exams.
