ICC Guidelines are different from codes and standards because they are not mandatory. Guidelines contribute to the health, safety and welfare of the built environment by addressing subjects that are not adequately covered by existing technical information. The guideline development process begins with the identification and assessment of a proposed need.
Available for Public Comment Submissions
The ICC Commissioning Guideline Committee welcomes your comments as an important step in the development of this Guideline. The Public Comment period will be open 30 days, closing on October 27, 2011. The Guideline Committee will review all input sent during this time period. Please remember, this Guideline seeks to establish skill sets for the commissioning agent and assist the code official who is in the process of enforcing commissioning.
