The International Code Council to exhibit at Big 5 Dubai in September 2021

The International Code Council, the largest international organization of building safety professionals, announced that its family of solutions — an array of solutions dedicated to providing businesses and municipalities with the tools needed to build safe, affordable and sustainable communities and buildings worldwide — will be represented by its recently established Middle East and North Africa (MENA) office during the Big 5 Dubai trade show. Held from Sept. 12–15, 2021, at the Dubai World Trade Center, the event will feature more than 1,100 exhibitors from 50 countries.

“The International Code Council has been active in MENA region projects for decades, but through our on-the-ground presence in the region for the past year and a half, we have made great progress in reaching a wider audience of professionals interested in all our expertise, services and code products,” said Dominic Sims, CBO, chief executive officer of the International Code Council.

Big 5 Dubai is designed to unite the global community of building safety and construction professionals to share experiences and knowledge in the hope of creating a platform where experts from around the world can connect, grow and succeed.

“With huge construction and infrastructure projects underway in the MENA region, now is a critical time to focus on the importance of building safe, sustainable and resilient structures,” said Mohamed Amer, MENA regional director of operations of the International Code Council. “The important work of our local office helps this region’s building safety professionals understand how the solutions available from the International Code Council can enhance the capabilities of authorities having jurisdiction, consultants, designers, and building owners and managers.”

The Code Council’s virtual booth is live now and can be viewed by registering for free online access on the Big 5 Dubai website. Online visitors can already begin to view all curated online content and set up meetings for the in-person event, or online meetings following the event. In-person attendees will be able to find the International Code Council’s booth in Hall 7, Stand 7A320.
