Gabe Klein

Gabe Klein, the former transportation director for the city of Chicago and for the District of Columbia, will keynote the Opening Session of the International Code Council’s (ICC) 2016 Annual Conference and Building Safety & Design Expo at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Mo.

Paul Moya

Klein, author of Start-Up City: Inspiring Private and Public Entrepreneurship, Getting Projects Done, and Having Fun (Island Press), will be joined by Paul Moya, the CEO of Millennial Labs, as keynote speaker for the Annual Business Meeting on Oct. 17. Millennial Labs is a full-service consulting firm that works with globally recognized brands to solve complex generational challenges in the workplace, marketplace, and voting booth. Moya is an internationally recognized entrepreneur and speaker who has earned the nicknamed “Gen Y’s Zig Ziglar” and “The Harvard Cowboy” for his engaging speaking style.

Kevin Cosgriff

Kevin Cosgriff, president and CEO of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), will keynote the Awards Luncheon on Oct. 18. Based in Rosslyn, Va., NEMA is the association of electrical equipment and medical imaging manufacturers in the United States. Cosgriff is a retired U.S. Navy Vice Admiral whose last assignment was commander of the Naval Forces Central Command, where he oversaw all combat, combat support, and maritime security operations throughout the Middle East.

Radhika Fox

Kicking off Global Connections Day on Oct. 19 will be Radhika Fox, CEO of the U.S. Water Alliance, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing policies and programs that build a sustainable water future for all. Prior to joining the U.S. Water Alliance, Fox served as director of policy and government affairs for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and federal policy director at PolicyLink. Global Connections Day 2016, sponsored by the ICC Family of Companies, will focus on the challenges presented by the evolutionary process toward sustainability by assessing its impact on the role of building codes, standards, and regulations in the global as-built marketplace.

“We are honored to have these distinguished individuals serve as guest speakers at this year’s conference in Kansas City,” said ICC Board of Directors President Alex Olszowy III, Building Inspector Manager with the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government in Kentucky.  “Their insights will prove to be valuable resources for attendees as well as our organization as a whole as we work to build a safer, more affordable and resilient built environment for all communities to utilize and enjoy.”
