Same PRONTO, new and improved proctoring experience

December 9th, 2019

  • Quick Hits

We are excited to announce that we have updated the way we proctor your PRONTO exam. Our testing assessment partner, Yardstick Assessment Strategies, has partnered with ProctorU for online proctoring services effective Dec. 1, 2019. This change was made to ensure the best possible service to partners and test takers alike.

What does this mean for me?

PRONTO continues to deliver quality content: You are still taking the same quality content and format on your PRONTO exam from the International Code Council.

Easy scheduling: You can immediately book a PRONTO exam with PRONTO’s new scheduling system.

One-time minor software installation: To ensure exam security, a one-time minor software installation will be required before your exam starts to enable the proctor to see and record your screen. You have the option to delete the software after your exam or keep it on your browser if you are planning to take another PRONTO exam in the future.

Guided live exam launch process: You will be guided through the entire start process by a live proctor who can assist with technical issues. Here’s a demo video on what that will look like in the test-taker’s perspective.

Secure testing with artificial intelligence: Our artificial intelligence can recognize and alert proctors to low audible voices, slight lighting variations and other behavioral cues.

Full technical support availability: Proctoring facilities are located in Birmingham, Ala.; Folsom, Calif.; Pleasanton, Calif.; and multiple international offices to ensure 24/7 availability and technical support, 365 days in the year.

We thank you for your patience during this process as we continually move towards stronger, secure and impenetrable examinations for all involved parties.
