Membership Councils to meet during the hearings
Five of the six ICC Membership Councils will meet during the 2018 Committee Action Hearings starting this weekend in Columbus, Ohio. ICC Membership Councils were formed to allow Members to have a greater role influencing how ICC serves to enhance Members’ work performance, careers and professions.
The Building Official Membership Council will meet from 12:00–5:00 p.m. ET on April 14 and from 8:00–11:00 a.m. ET on April 15 in Meeting Room Union C. The Building Official Membership Council is open to all ICC members and serves the needs of building officials and others in code enforcement.
The Fire Service Membership Council will meet from 12:00–5:00 p.m. ET on April 14 and from 8:00–11:00 a.m. ET on April 15 in Meeting Room Union B. The Fire Service Membership Council is a forum for concerns and issues that are of particular interest to the fire service, to assist ICC in increasing participation of such individuals in the ICC code development process, and to advise ICC on programs and policies, legislative matters, code adoption issues and such other matters as the Council deems appropriate.
The PMG Official Membership Council will meet from 8:00–11:00 a.m. ET on April 15 in Meeting Room Union A. Dr. Janet Stout, a world-renowned expert in Legionnaires’ disease prevention, will speak about “Controlling Legionella: New Focus on Building Water Safety and Management” at 10:00 a.m. The PMG Official Membership Council is open to all ICC members and serves the needs of PMG officials and industry professionals.
The Sustainability Membership Council will meet from 8:00–11:00 a.m. ET on April 15 in Meeting Room Union D. If you’re looking to get more involved in green and energy code enforcement and influence the direction of ICC, the Sustainability Membership Council is open to all ICC members.
The Emerging Leaders Membership Council will meet from 12:00–5:00 p.m. ET on April 14 in Meeting Room Union A and from 8:00–11:00 a.m. ET on April 15 in the Champaign Room. The Emerging Leaders Membership Council is open to all ICC members but is focused specifically on members age 35 and under and/or those Members who have been in a codes enforcement-related profession for less than 10 years.
