Premier bathroom product manufacturer in Mexico joins growing list of ICC-ES PMG clients
The ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) Plumbing, Mechanical and Fuel Gas (PMG) Listing Program welcomed one of the largest manufacturers of bathroom plumbing products in Mexico — Helvex — to its expanding client roster. Helvex has more than 70 years of experience manufacturing high-quality faucets, showers, toilets, sinks and bathroom accessories for customers all over the world.
The client came to ICC-ES PMG as part of its Transfer and Save program, which allows manufacturers to obtain a highly accepted, low-cost product certification from the most-qualified and most-credible certification body. Helvex has now certified several products with ICC-ES, including ceramic plumbing fixtures and plumbing supply fittings.
“The experience as a company, and personally, has been very rewarding. From the beginning, we have had invaluable technical advice in addition to always having impeccable attention and efficient response time,” said Helvex Certifications Coordinator Elizabeth Rodriguez. “ICC-ES has given us confidence that we will always be able to count on their expertise and solutions for Helvex’s certification needs, today and in the future.”
“The fact that yet another manufacturer has switched to ICC-ES is a testament to the program’s success and the quality of service provided,” said ICC-ES PMG Program Director Dawn La Fleur-Qualley. “We welcome more and more new manufacturers to our listing program every day; the acceptability of the ICC-ES mark of conformity speaks for itself.”
ICC-ES PMG is accredited by the American National Standards Institute, the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation, the Standards Council of Canada, and ema to certify plumbing and mechanical products to Official Mexican Standards (NOMs). With this, the program offers listings to meet all manufacturer certification needs in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
ICC-ES PMG is also licensed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to certify water-efficient products under the WaterSense program and is approved by the city of Los Angeles.
