Afghanistan

The Afghanistan Building Code was approved in 2012 and references the 2009 International Building Code and a number of consensus-based standards. Oversight of building safety in Afghanistan is the responsibility of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development. An English-language version of the related Building Manual is available for online viewing.

The Afghan National Security Forces construction standards are based on the International Building Code and are available online as a download from the US Army Corps of Engineers Transatlantic Division website.
