This award is given to an individual or organization for exceptional service to the plumbing, mechanical, fuel gas and swimming pool/spa (PMG) industry. The award recognizes contributions in one or more of the following categories; growth and enhancement of PMG codes and standards, advocacy in state and local code adoptions, publication of PMG technical articles or research papers, advancement of PMG knowledge through training and education, extensive ICC Committee or Council service, development of innovative PMG products and services, or notable advancement of the PMG industry.

The Afghanistan Building Code was approved in 2012 and references the 2009 International Building Code and a number of consensus-based standards. Oversight of building safety in Afghanistan is the responsibility of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development. An English-language version of the related Building Manual is available for online viewing.
The Afghan National Security Forces construction standards are based on the International Building Code and are available online as a download from the US Army Corps of Engineers Transatlantic Division website.

Building safety in Algeria is the responsibility of the Ministere de l’Habitat, de l’Urbanisme et de la Ville (Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning) Construction regulations are published on the Ministry’s website.
