DescriptionThis seminar addresses the critical concepts of the 2012 International Building Code® (IBC®) regarding Chapter 7, Fire and Smoke Protection Features. These concepts provide a basis for the analysis and identification of which components require fire-resistance ratings; where the fire-resistance-rated construction is required in building construction; where smoke-resistant construction is mandated; and the use of fire door assemblies, fire window assemblies, penetration firestop systems, fire dampers and smoke dampers.
