DescriptionThis seminar reviews the details of developing wind loads using the 2012 International Building Code® (IBC®) and the various wind load procedures in ASCE/SEI 7-10, Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures. An overview of the methods used to determine wind loads in ASCE/SEI 7-10 for main-wind-force resisting systems and components and cladding is included, as well as a discussion of the significance of the changes in ASCE/SEI 7-10 for the design of buildings.
