Neil Burning, the Code Council’s Vice President of Government Relations, Technical Resources, has over 30 years of technical expertise in codes and standards and is responsible for programs, research and technical resources that support the adoption of the International Codes.
Previously, Burning was the vice president of construction codes and standards for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) where he oversaw the development of NAHB’s comprehensive advocacy and research efforts dealing with residential construction codes and standards development, implementation and enforcement.
Prior to joining NAHB, he was the manager of Plans Examination and the Permit Application Center in Clark County, Nevada, and the building official in Peoria, Arizona.
