Wanted to make you aware that the Water Efficiency Provisions of the ICC Green Code (IgCC) has now been released. It is an extract of the water efficiency and conservation provisions from the 2012 IgCC and ASHRAE 189.1-2011 in a single, compact document. Plus it is designed to work with the existing I-Codes codes.  You can find it on our bookstore by clicking here.   It covers topics such as:

·         Plumbing fitting and fixture efficiency

·         Water-consuming appliance efficiency

·         Landscape irrigation

·         Water features

·         Swimming pools

·         Submetering

·         HVAC water efficiency (cooling towers, evaporative coolers, etc)

·         Water treatment systems (water softeners, reverse osmosis, etc)

·         Hot water distribution systems

·         Alternate onsite water systems – Collection conveyance and use

o   Rainwater

o   Graywater

o   Misc (condensate, foundation drain, pool backwash, etc)

·         Reclaimed water use

·         Carwashes

I hope you’ll consider checking it out.  The outlookfor drought in many parts of the US is poor again for 2013, and this may provide some of the tools you need to help manage demand along with incentive-based programs.
