1.) The california Residential code last 2 cycles clearly state that the roof sheathing for Residential homes shall be no less than 5/8' of an inch on 24 inches on center joist it is shown on the roof assembly chart most of the City Handouts call out for half inch sheathing. Building Officials need to up date handouts remembering the code is minimum we cannot go less than if my interpretation is wrong please advise.
2.) My other question is how many City's are enforcing Chapter 6 of the California Plumbing code where it states that all contractors pulling Permits for homes that intend to use PEX water lines in lieu of copper need to sign an agreement at the City stating that they will have to flush the system prior to obtaining the certificate of occupancy. ?? Contractors ??
