So, there is a lot of plan reading on the B2 commerical building inspector exam? I am trying to take the test soon. I have the BGR study guide but it doesn't have plans to read. Also, are ALL the chapters on the exam like the B1 residential building inspector exam? Please, please answer.

BGR Technical Publications has a great B-2 Exam study work book.

I would agree.  The Index is your friend.  Learn to use it effectively and efficiently.

ICC has a study guide for the IBC in the bookstore. I used it before I took the B2. It was helpful. I went through the practice exams in the study guide and found of couple of areas that were not indexed well in the IBC. I then added notes to the index, in case similar questions came up on the exam. What was most helpful were the tabs that I purchased from ICC. It made turning to the correct secton in the code very easy. As long as you know where to find the topic in the code, teh test is pretty easy.

I want to take the B2 exam. I'm looking for any guides, on line courses, or books that would be beneficial to read.

I have the current code books 97, 2003, 2006, 2009, and 2012 IBC.
