Focusing on wood construction\, the course addresses gravity and lateral loads on residential structures. Prescriptive solutions for floor\, roof\, and wall systems are described to help engineers understand where engineering is required. Part 2 provides an overview of the foundation\, framing\, sheathing\, and cladding limits of the IRC.
