SUMMARY:Welding in Reinforced Concrete Construction
DESCRIPTION:While much less common than in structural steel\, welding has many applications for steel reinforcement in cast-in-place and precast concrete construction. This webinar will cover welding of steel reinforcement in new and existing concrete construction\, provide background on welding process requirements and the development of a PQR (Procedure Qualification Record) and WPS (Welding Procedure Specification)\, discuss design related requirements in ACI 318 and AWS D1.4\, and address construction and special inspection requirements of the IBC.
